Advocacy

We are committed to standing up for the rights and interests of individuals and families in the Inverell, Glen Innes, Tenterfield, and Warialda areas. Our Advocacy service is designed to ensure that our clients have access to the resources, services, and justice they deserve.

Our Approach

Our approach is empowering, supportive, and client-focused. We believe in the inherent dignity and worth of every individual and are dedicated to ensuring that our clients' voices are heard.

Our Services

Our Advocacy service includes:

  • Representation: We can act as a representative for our clients, speaking on their behalf in meetings with service providers, landlords, or government agencies.

  • Access to Information and Resources: We provide up-to-date information and resources on legal, welfare, medical, educational, and housing rights. Our team can introduce clients to various community and welfare agencies that can provide further assistance.

  • Support and Advice: Our team provides support and advice to help clients navigate their situation. This can include assistance with understanding the legal system, accessing community resources, and developing a plan for personal growth and change.

  • Referral Service: We have established partnerships with a range of service providers and can refer clients to these services for additional support. This includes referrals to counselling services, legal aid, and specialised domestic violence services.

Our Commitment

At ROSS, we are committed to providing services free from discrimination irrespective of individual characteristics such as race, gender, colour, ethnicity, national origin, religion, age, class, sexual orientation, physical and or mental ability, financial situation, lifestyle choices, and substance use.

If you or someone you know needs advocacy support, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. Our team is here to help.
